Mail Theft Suspects run from Deputies

On June 21, 2022 Santa Barbara County Sheriffs Office Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle seen stealing mail from mailboxes in Buellton.

Upon arrival, a deputy located the vehicle and observed the female taking items from a mailbox. The vehicle fled when a traffic stop was initiated and entered Highway 101 Northbound. The vehicle fled at speeds over 100 mph and was passing vehicles on the shoulder and center divider.

The vehicle exited Highway at 101 and eventually stopped in the 3000 block of Dominion Road in rural Santa Maria.
