Homeless Encampment sparks Vegetation Fire San Luis Obispo

A vegetation fire occurred on June 18, 2022 in the creek bed behind the Elks Lodge. Preliminary investigations indicate this fire was started by a cooking appliance inside a homeless encampment nearby.

This area was also burned less than two weeks ago under similar circumstances.
